ABOUT OUR NEWSLETTER
South
Florida Divers, Inc.
Our official monthly newsletter,
The Wet
Zone, is published innovatively on the World Wide Web in order to conserve
funds and time. Trying to fit everything onto an 8-1/2 x 11 paper
took up too much formatting time. On the web, we can add information
right up until deadline...and "all the news that fits, we print."
Our newsletter received its name in a contest,
and the simple off-kilter dive flag logo was designed by our editor.

-
All members receive, via e-mail, a summary newsletter
containing the President's Message, a list of current Executive Board Members,
and the monthly calendar of events. You can click on a link in your e-mail
to visit the rest of the newsletter on this site.
-
Receiving the newsletter in this format saves
your club money for printing, labels, and postage, and helps keep dues
from rising!

You may view the newsletter in full color on
the web!
-
You can read the newsletter the moment it is
completed!
-
You can view it from any Internet-connected
computer on planet Earth!
-
If you lose your copy, just log on for a fresh
one!
-
You can share it with friends around the world
by giving them the link!
-
And if you wish, you may still print a paper
copy for yourself.
-
Paid in full members who still don't have computer
access (yep, there are two or three) may opt to receive the summary newsletter
mentioned above in a black-and-white format by U.S. mail. They will be
reminded to visit this web page for the remainder of the current newsletter.
-
Every public library in the three-county area
has free Internet-access computers, paid for by your tax dollars, and the
librarians will show you how to access this web site. They have to.
It's their job!
-
The rest of the newsletter is published on this
web site by clicking on the links below. Bookmark this page and return
often. Feel free to share our website with friends.
-
Note that telephone numbers are edited out of
the web-published newsletters for privacy. Paid in full members may
refer to their buddy list or their most recent paper or e-mail newsletter
for relevant numbers.
Newsletter submissions are always welcome.
We are looking for articles, dive destination or gear reviews, photographs,
true stories and tall tales, safety tips, recipes, or just about anything
else of interest to our members. Please click here
